This duet is unique among modern bands as they rarely perform concerts, so their fans usually have to travel far and wide to see them live. They requested to have a concert at Palladium with no standing-room tickets, therefore the amount of tickets available is extremely limited. Erlend and Eirik were born in 1975 and met at the age of 11. At 16 they created the band Skog (forest) with two other friends but it fell apart after the release of their first album. Then Øye and Bøe created Kings of Convenience which debuted in 2000 and in 2001 they released their debut album Quiet Is the New Loud. In 2004 they released Riot on an Empty Street, following which the band went on hiatus. In 2009 they released their third album and Declaration of Dependence. In 2015 the band started touring again and in 2016 they announced several concerts as part of The Unrecorded Record Tour, where the band plays strictly new material.
