RISK Made in Warsaw, which makes comfortable, glamorous clothing inspired by Polish textiles and culture, is honoring its 13th birthday with an exhibit at the Grand Theater - National Opera in Warsaw on May 18. The owners of RISK will show 13 pieces of fashion, telling the history of their own brand, how it's linked to local culture and art, and the history of some of their inspirations (like Polish textiles).
Risk has a great history in the city of providing chic, stylish clothing that's well made, super local and inspired by all kinds of different Polish culture (one popular pattern is styled after the flooring on old Polish tenement homes). They are also well-known in the art world, having made costumes for opera performances directed by Karoline Souflak: "The Golden Dragon" by Peter Eötvös or "Rusalka" by Antonín Dvořák at the Stanisław Moniuszko Grand Theater in Poznań.
This is one for fashion lovers and local history lovers, alike!
