Warsaw

Operation 'Tempest' Park

  ul. Bartycka     30 Jan 2026
A massively symbolic - and beautiful - place, this park opened to Warsaw residents in 2023, on the eve of the 79th anniversary of the Warsaw Uprising, and the whole spot is an homage to that important time in 1944.

Visitors entering from Barycka Street can see an original historic exhibition about the reconstruction of Warsaw, along with information about the process. Find ruins of the original capital here as well. The Warsaw Uprising Mound in the park includes a two-level viewing platform with the renovated symbol of the Polish resistance, which is illuminated from Aug 1 to Oct 2 every year in honor of the uprising. On your way up the mound, find stairs with places to rest and newly built ravines with walls of concrete that reference the reconstruction of the city.

Among new amenties here find a nature trail, a footbridge among the trees, and a recreation area for children in a vast meadow. Fans of climbing and zip lining, swings and slides, will all find something here!
