The yearly Splat! Film Fest is nearly back! With tens of excellent horror movies, shown over the course of one week at Kinoteka — right in the center of Warsaw — this beloved film festival is the perfect way to drum up that spooky season/Halloween vibe. 

The festival kicks off Oct. 24 and, as always, runs through Oct. 31 -- Halloween. The concept of the award-winning festival -- it was recognized as one of the best horror festivals in the world in 2022 by American magazine Dread Central -- is simple. Viewers are presented with multiple films every day, all under the umbrella of "unsettling."
Some films are classic slasher horror, others are science fiction, some veer more into the magical realism territory, while others are thrillers. Monsters, psychological horror, shorts, even comedy films that riff on the traditional horror genre, are all here! Plus, music and an afterparty once the fest is all over.
