<p>The exhibition's title, <em>The Camera Is My Weapon</em> is a quote from Parks' book, <em>A Choice of Weapons</em>. It was his life's motto, describing the means to reach his creative ends and a form of activism while fighting for social equality. How did he find his subjects? How did he treat them? How did he photograph people? This exhibition presents 80 of Parks' photographs, among which there are pictures of icons as well as lesser-known individuals. He was a humanist and stated that his camera was a tool for social awareness.</p>
