Held every year on the last Friday of August in Kolan (Island Pag) known as the birthplace of the famous Paški sir, Fešta od Sira celebrates one of Croatia’s most iconic gastronomic traditions. Recognised as part of Croatia’s intangible cultural heritage, the festival transforms the main square into a large open-air market where local producers and renowned Pag cheese makers present award-winning cheeses, alongside local prosciutto, wine, olive oil, and other island delicacies in a lively Mediterranean atmosphere.
