From land to sea, Shipwreck Mijoka; offers a breathtaking underwater mystery. Off the coast of Murter, a small ship sank more than 300 years ago—but not before carrying a cargo full of surprises. Was it a pirate vessel transporting stolen luxury goods and treasure, or a high-end merchant ship trading between European hubs like Nuremberg and the Adriatic?

Despite previous damage to the wreck site, archaeological research between 2006 and 2012 recovered rare coins, fine artisan objects, and insights into life and trade in the 16th and 17th centuries. Housed in the atmospheric former church of St. Nicholas, the exhibition invites you to dive into a forgotten world where every artifact tells a story of risk, wealth, and the untamed spirit of the sea.
