Expect the best contemporary French cinema at My French Film Festival – all live-streamed for free, for the next month. Set up a viewing party with friends, make it a budget-friendly date night choice, or enjoy some well-deserved me-time.

My French Film Festival's 14th edition presents 26 short and feature films, all streamed for free at myfrenchfilmfestival.com from Fri, Jan 19 – Mon, Feb 19.

Showcasing a diversity of French-language cinema, there's something for everyone, from comedies and thrillers to romcoms, documentaries, animated films, and historical drama. The short and feature films are presented as part of a competition, and you are encouraged to vote for your favourite film, with five awards presented at the festival's closing for the following categories: the Grand Jury Prize for a Feature Film, the International Press Award for a Feature Film, The Content Creators' Award for a Short Film and the Audience Awards for a Feature Film and a Short Film.

French cinema has been at the forefront of film globally since the 1950s. It generally takes more risks than its Hollywood counterparts, and it's a welcome departure from the skop, skiet en donder action flicks that break box-office records, or the all too often copy-and-paste formulaic Netflix shows.

My French Film Festival lets you see some of the best French-language films from the past year. Available to stream wherever you may be, we think it's not an event you should miss.
