Running from June 26th all the way through to the end of August, the Mini Summer festival returns for its 20th year, and Ljubljana’s international reputation for puppet innovation is on full display throughout. A festival for children, although adults will no doubt find much to enjoy within, theatres from all over Europe descend upon Ljubljana Castle and Križevniška ulica (and numerous other venues) with a joyful range of plays and performances. The festival has grown annually since making its bow in 1999, and now encompasses workshops and puppet exhibitions as well as the shows themselves.
