Growing up in Kraków’s Jewish ghetto and losing most of her family to the horrors of Auschwitz, Romy Ligocka’s paintings expose the fear and loneliness of these memories. “Searching for closeness” is an exhibition of her emotions, personal experiences, and her observations of Jewish life. The exhibition will be part of the Jewish Culture Festival - Simchat Chajim Festival.
