Sopot

Alga Pavilion

The Alga Pavilion was at the cutting edge of Communist Modernist design and it opened to huge interest in July of 1960. Today it stands forlornly in the heart of Sopot surrounded by more modern, more attractive buildings but at the same buildings without ian ounce of its history or character. It would be great if someone could sort out the higgle-piggle mix of bars, clubs and restaurants and give the old girl a makeover to try to bring Alga back to her original look.
