Body Works

The distinction between our private and public self is presently quite blurred. The exhibition Body Works explores the public body image as an expression of acceptance, freedom and equality while commenting on often radical political and social interpretations. Our constant sharing on social media poses questions about intimacy, what is "allowed" and what is not. But the issue is even bigger - Poland has become overcome by the right wing
radicalism, homophobia, xenophobia and blatant dismissal of women rights. Enter social media as an information outlet during marches, protests and demonstrations. The exhibition curated by Gosia Golińska and Romuald  Demidenko is dedicated to the body image and the role it plays within the social and political context of today's world.
