Traces of Jewish history in Sopot is sparse. The one place left standing is a small cemetery. The gate to the cemetery serves as the only remaining monument to the past inhabitants. The other notable marker is a plaque marking the spot of the of the old synagogue which was burned down in 1939. In connection with the 80th anniversary of the Sopot synagogue being destroyed, a special exhibition will detail the fate of the Jewish community in Sopot. It will include various artefacts that have been loaned from other museums in the country since almost none exist from Sopot itself.
