Mayra Andrade is a Cape Verdean singer, often compared to Cesária Évora, and praised for her modern interpretation of the traditional Cape Verdean morna music. The Warsaw concert is part of the artist's Manga Tour, during which  Andrade will promote her fifth album, Manga. The album was recorded in Paris and Abidjan and features a mixture of Afrobeat, urban music, and traditional Cape Verdean rhythms.
