The exhibition 'The Influencing Machine' presents the results of research on functioning Soros Contemporary Art Centres, a unique network of art centres which operated in twenty capitals of Eastern Europe in the 1990s. It contains works by contemporary artists from regions where the centres operated and who represented their countries at the largest biennial in the world. The exhibition deals with the subject of propaganda mechanisms and explores how art can be used to exercise control over society.
