Warszawa Zachodnia Train Station (Warsaw West) was built in 1936 as part of the creation of the Warsaw Railway Junction linking the city with all parts of Poland. Since then, however, efforts were focused on train stations in the city centre, leaving Warsaw West to be a bit neglected. The station was renovated a few years ago and still serves international, long distance domestic services and suburban train routes that travel from Warsaw Central (Warszawa Centralna), and the same goes for bus routes from the main bus station.
