Wilco, American band based in Chicago, led by singer-songwriter Jeff Tweedy that spun off from the group Uncle Tupelo in the mid-1990s,  evolved from its alternative country roots into one of the most successful and multifaceted rock groups of its time.  The band's members are - singer Jeff Tweedy, bassist John Stirratt, guitarist Nels Cline, multi-instrumentalist Pat Sansone, keyboard player Mikael Jorgensen, and drummer Glenn Kotche. Wilco's musical style gravitates toward an eclectic indie rock that touches on many eras and genres. The band released many successful albums, but Yankee Hotel Foxtrot is their most successful release to date. Wilco won two Grammy Awards for their fifth studio album, 2004's A Ghost Is Born, including Best Alternative Music Album. In September 2016 Wilco released their tenth studio album, Schmilco. Their concert at Progresja Club is the first one in Poland.
