Ironically, but enviously located in the annex of the Imperial Castle, Lokum is the headquarters of the Stonewall Group Association - Poznań's preminent LGBTQ+ activist group, and organisers of the annual Poznań Pride Week festival. As such, it functions not only as a bar and club, but also a bookshop, cultural centre and general queer community centre. Formerly located on Półwiejska, this new 'Nowe Lokum' (as it's called) is a bit more of a family-friendly and straight-friendly version, with a colourful, welcoming interior, contemporary bar food and absolutely gorgeous beer garden you'd be crazy to pass by (seriously, it's one of the city's best). In addition to colourful cocktails you can actually order pitchers of beer (a rarity in PL), burgers, hot dogs and chicken wings, and they even serve breakfast until 16:00. Downstairs, in the castle cellars, is the stage and dancefloor, where DJ parties heat up Thursday to Saturday, and a range of saucy events take place, including karaoke, burlesque and drag shows. Overall, this is one of the most important spots on the LGBTQ+ map of Poznań, but also one of the most friendly, pleasant places to relax with some food and drink on any map.
