The annual Fete de la Musique is back for 2016 and promises to be bigger than ever showcasing musical talent from across Europe and Africa's French-speaking lands as well as a very generous serving of great South African music. This free one-day music festival is envisaged as a day that offers something for everyone and all genres are represented from jazz and pop, to rock, soul, indie, folk and funk under the slogan 'Free Music For All'.
Now in its 5th year this year's festival boasts no less than six stages spread through the Newtown Junction Precinct area including the new Pic Nic Stage which will be set up along the grassy lawns that line the old railway tracks behind Work Shop New Town and the Gentlemen's Arthouse Stage in the courtyard behind the fabulous new Victorian-themed bar and function space Gentlemen's Arthouse.
