As part of the Market Theatre's 40th birthday celebrations this much loved stage musical, inspired by the vibrant jazz scene and rich cultural life of multi-cultural 1950s Sophiatown, returns to the stage. The many personalities that made Sophiatown unique are brought to life in word and song along with the story of a place brutally destroyed by the apartheid state.
