The always ground-breaking collaborative arts space Centre for the Less Good Idea in Maboneng presents its latest For Once performance, Trans-Architecture. For Once is a monthly series of experimental, collaborative performances that are created at the Centre and then debuted on the stage for one night only. Trans-Architecture is a new 30-minute performance directed by Roland Gunst and featuring dancers Smangaliso Ngwenya and Muzi Shili.

The concept for the piece centres around the practice of dismantling systems of colonialism and oppression that are seemingly 'set in stone'. The work proposes a 'fluid architecture', that transforms brick and mortar into "ritual workspaces" and the body and mind into spaces of criticism and transformation. A performance that is described as where "power balances are questioned, destabilized or overthrown".

Prior booking is essential. Book tickets online at lessgoodidea.com. The event will also be streamed live on the Centre for the Less Good Idea youtube channel.
