Dec 5, 2023 marked 10 years since Nelson Mandela's passing. From Soweto to Stellenbosch and across the globe, there are over 40 statues, landmarks and monuments testifying to Madiba's lasting legacy. Not counting the thousands of murals, artworks, sculptures and books that have been created in his honour, as well as coins and medallions from the world's leading Mints.

The South African Gold Coin Exchange, the Scoin Shop and The Marc in Sandton Central are behind a permanent exhibition, We Love Mandela. The group show comprises a selection of artworks from private collections, and charts some of the most important milestones in Mandela's life through more than 40 works by 19 different artists. There are paintings, photographs, textiles and sculptures on show from artists like Johannes Maswanganyi, Jodi Bieber and Jane Makhubele. Shown too is a fascinating collection of mementos and souvenirs connected to Madiba.
