For Women’s Month, USURPA Gallery, After Paradise, and Art of Superwoman have teamed up to host a month-long art showcase which, among other things, features the two group exhibitions of women artists In the Clouds and Down to Earth.
Featuring Mmanoko Visuals, Ursh Makhunga, Itumeleng Makgakga, Nompumelelo Mdluli, Buqaqawuli Nobakada, Sinomonde Ngwane, Mpho Jacobs, Kokky Tau, Zhi Zulu and Snalo Ngcaba, In the Clouds highlights the importance of being free to dream and letting one’s mind wander.
Opening on Sat, Aug 19, Down to Earth is the second of the two Women's Month exhibitions and is a celebration of creativity, diversity, and empowerment.
Through the diverse and multi-media works of the exhibited artists, the exhibitions put forward an immersive experience that blurs the lines between reality and fantasy, and highlight the fusion of art and technology, while celebrating the remarkable spirit of South African Womxn.
