The Embassy of Japan in South Africa presents the Japan Cultural Expo. The expo celebrates various aspects of Japanese arts and culture through a diverse programme that includes exhibitions, performing arts productions, and arts festivals.

Attendees can watch Judo, Karate, Aikido, Kendo and Kyudo martial arts demonstrations. Other demos include Japanese food at Sterlings, exhibits of traditional Ikebana flower arrangements, Bonsai, Uchikake wedding kimonos and Samurai armour. The days end with screenings of Dad's Lunch Box and Every Day a Good Day respectively, complimentary tickets will be available at Ster-Kinekor an hour before the film screening.
