This popular book sale hosted by the Friends of the Johannesburg Public Libraries is one of the biggest of the year. There are literally thousands of second-hand books on sale, with the tables stacked high with fiction, non fiction and children's books, and prices set at just R10-R20 per book. For those interested in collectable items there's also a sale on collectable books with prices ranging from R20-R200. All proceeds of the sale go towards Johannesburg City Libraries' reading programmes.<br /> <br /> The book sale is open from 09:00 to 16:30.
