On a mission to support and spotlight African and diaspora filmmakers (ranging from amateurs to experienced professionals), Reel to Reality film festival is founded by Behind Her Lens Visuals. The festival is a curated cinema experience that brings together 'reel' on-screen cinematic experiences and complementary in-the-flesh 'real' social experiences, such as post-screening talks, workshops and a 'Creative Dinner'.

The festival takes place over three days with screenings at The Bioscope in 44 Stanley, and in Braamfontein at Mangrove and The Forge. Find out more and book tickets here via Instagram.
