SALT pop-up dinners at OneNineOne

This month the contemporary OneNineOne restaurant at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Rosebank teams up with leading chef Craig Cormack, one of the masterminds behind the celebrated SALT restaurant at the Paul Cluver wine estate in the Cape for a special series of pop-up dinners. There are two SALT pop-ups scheduled - on July 25 and Aug 1 - with each evening promising to be a memorable gourmet journey.

The night's three course menu includes a starter of pan-seared duck breast served with prawn satay, chili jam, spring onion dressing and chicken liver pate, for main a dukkha-spiced venison loin served with wilted baby spinach, garlic and onion puree, venison fillet sashimi, charred onions, gooseberries and gooseberry atchar and for dessert a rich melange of chocolate mousse, coconut jelly, ginger crumble and salted sesame seed ice cream.

The dinner costs R450 per person. Booking is essential.
