<em>Soul Songs – The Shape of My Head</em> merges poetry, song and visual art to weave a story of self-realisation and the battle between euphoria and despair in daily living.<br /> <br /> Painter and artist Thokozani Mthiyane describes the exhibition as “the creation of abstract pieces whose essence lies in my memory”. Tri-lingual Mthiyane first gained renown for his performances and translations of classical French poetry to Zulu. He interprets the stories he has gathered from the books and oral traditions of the countries he’s visited, transforming them into a “new language of spiritual wellness”.
