Tshepiso Seleke's (@thedarkroomartist) solo photography exhibition Mintirho Ya Vulavula is showing at Umhlabathi Collective in Newtown.

With a passion for community at the heart of his work, Seleke's thoughtful photographs tell stories of everyday South Africans. This exhibition, curated by Andrew Tshabangu, explores the idea that actions speak louder than words. "It focuses on my journey of documenting the bittersweet reality of black people having come far, but also not having gone anywhere at all," says Seleke.

Mintirho Ya Vulavula opens from 11:00 to 18:00 on Sat, Nov 25 at Umhlabathi Collective (use the Bus Factory entrance).
