Turbine Art Fair (TAF) Talks 2021

Thursday Sep 30 - Thursday Oct 7

This year's Turbine Art Fair, always a Joburg art highlight, is back for 2021 in a hybrid format with online viewing rooms and an online buying platform, as well as physical art fair open in Illovo from October 1 to 3.

An important voice in representing the work of predominantly young and emerging artists, the fair is also a vital platform for growing the market for collecting art in South Africa. Prices sit within the more 'accessible' bracket (usually under R50,000, although most works can be picked for between R5,000 and R20,000), and the fair fosters an inclusive atmosphere that opens the art collecting space out to new audiences.

A big highlight of each fair is always the TAF Talks programme, an informative talks series aimed at art lovers who want to better understand the South African art market and the broader South African arts scene.

This year's TAF Talks are all taking place online and a free to attend (although you must first register in advance).
