One of the world’s biggest all-night dance music events, ULTRA South Africa is back and kicks off at The Ostrich in Cape Town on Fri, May 9, and continues at Joburg's Expo Centre at Nasrec on Sat, May 10, 2025. Festival enthusiasts, The countdown is officially on! In just a few days, ULTRA South Africa will light up Cape Town and Joburg as it celebrates a decade of dance, music, and unforgettable energy with its highly anticipated 10th anniversary edition.

The action starts at The Ostrich in Cape Town and continues at Joburg's Expo Centre at Nasrec with a festival that promises the biggest and boldest ULTRA yet, featuring a blockbuster lineup of international stars and beloved homegrown talent.

ULTRA South Africa’s main stage is set to ignite with a powerhouse lineup of global talent, featuring Dutch electronic legend Armin van Buuren, hard trap trailblazer ISOxo, and the genre-defying dynamo KSHMR. Adding a nostalgic twist to this milestone edition, Martin Garrix returns to the ULTRA stage – 11 years after headlining the inaugural festival in 2014.

Over at the Resistance stage, festivalgoers can expect an electrifying journey through the underground, headlined by melodic techno maestro Massano, the captivating Italian duo Mind Against, and a special homecoming set from South African icon Shimza in Joburg.

Beyond the main acts, the lineup runs deep, with an impressive roster of talent including Gil Glaze, Culoe de Song, Da Capo, DBN GOGO, DJ Lag, Dlala Thukzin, Fiona Kraft, Herdroom, Kabza De Small, Maphorisa, Mörda, Oscar Mbo, Sona, Vigro Deep, and many more lighting up stages across both cities. 

Joburg fans will also get to experience two exclusive stages. The Groove Room will spotlight the best of South Africa’s amapiano and afrobeats scene, featuring heavy-hitters like Kabza De Small, Maphorisa, DBN GOGO, Dlala Thukzin, Oscar Mbo, DJ Lag, 2wo Bunnies, Mörda, Thakzin, Vigro Deep, Omagoqa, Lelowhatsgood, and more. Meanwhile, The Clubhouse will offer an intimate, cutting-edge electronic music experience, with sets from Jevan Binder, Shamiso, Da Capo, Kasango, Mpho.Wav, Darque, Tristan Urwin, A.ND, Son of Dennis, and Buhle.
