Umami Food Studio

In 2017 Rany Jo, originally from South Korea, started Umami Food Studio to make Asian food and flavours more accessible to South Africans. She offers a range of classes from her home kitchen on a weekly basis, including Vietnamese Street Food, Hidden Thai Street Food, Korean Fried Chicken and Bao, Japanese Ramen, Vietnamese Pho and Rice, a Kimchi workshop, and a whole lot more. She also offers vegan and halaal classes, and hosts the occasional knife skills workshop. 

Her classes start from R895 p.p. (all-inclusive) and they run for about four hours. The upcoming class schedules can be found on her website.
