Whether you’re a thrifter, collector, or designer-label enthusiast, you can be sure there is something new for you somewhere in Joburg. Every month we scout out shopping hot spots, pop-ups, and the latest labels that may not yet be on your radar...
July 2025 is bringing the heat – and we’re not talking temperatures. From quirky-cool fashion collabs (looking at you, Mr Price x Oddity) to cosy South African keepsakes courtesy of Something Good Studio Young Designers Competition, this month’s shopping round-up is all about personality. Decorex Joburg lands in Sandton with serious interiors inspo, the Karoo Winter Wool Festival spins a tale of sustainable luxury, and Russell Kaplan’s new Randburg showroom is a treasure trove for collectors. Add jazz-infused fashion from Artclub and Friends and fresh winter drops from Asha Eleven, and it’s clear: July is dressed to impress.
Quirky meets cool: Mr Price x Oddity turns up the charm

Mr Price is serving up quirky-cool in a big way with Oddity. This limited-edition collab with SA Fashion Mr Price Week New Talent 2024 winner Jessica-Ann Shepherd is a riot of colour, charm, and street style. Think playful knits, striped pullovers (which we’re loving), sunnies, skirts, and bags that don’t take themselves too seriously, just like the Oddity label itself. Available online and in select stores nationwide.
A collector’s dream: Russell Kaplan Auctioneers' new home
Russell Kaplan Auctioneers has a shiny new home in Randburg, and it’s a real treasure trove. Spread over two floors with gallery space, a coffee corner, and curiosities galore, the new showroom is ready to charm. To mark the moment, the Inaugural New Showroom Auction kicks off from Thu, Jul 17 – Sun, Jul 27, packed with thousands of collectables, from quirky art and vintage fashion to rare books and heirloom-worthy homeware. It’s part gallery, part wonderland – and entirely worth a visit.
You can visit the new showroom at 256 Oak Avenue, Cnr Republic Road, Ferndale
Young, wild, and woven: Meet Something Good's winning young designers

The Something Good Studio Young Designers Competition challenged creatives under 25 to dream up bold, two-colour repeat patterns – and from over 500 entries, five fresh talents rose to the top. Among them was Boikanyo Makhafola, whose Grace of Giants midi blanket is one of the latest winning designs to launch. Inspired by the majesty of African elephants, Makhafola’s pattern captures quiet strength and collective grace. It's cosy, meaningful, and makes for the perfect South African keepsake. Shop it online or in-store at 223 Jan Smuts Creative Hub.
Jägermeister drops heat: bold collabs with Boys of Soweto & Thesis Lifestyle

We popped into Jägermeister’s Haus of Kuhl on Sun, Jun 15 at 1 Fox Studio in Ferreirasdorp for the music and a good time, and left excited from the fashion collabs spotted at the Meister Market. Jägermeister x Boys of Soweto brings bold, graphic flair with their sleek Space Cadet Black Cardigan, while Jägermeister x Thesis Lifestyle salutes kasi (township) culture with punchy tees, trucker jackets, and dungarees that pay homage. Both collabs are available online.
Winter threads, done differently: Asha Eleven’s Lunaria collection

Asha Eleven’s Lunaria collection is winter’s softest glow-up – a tribute to quiet transformation and ancient hands weaving meaning into every thread. Now available online and at their store on Parkhurst’s 4th Avenue, this slow fashion drop turns cold weather into a canvas with their fun Suzani coat and dress – bold, beautiful, and proof that winter doesn’t have to be boring.
Artclub and Friends hit a high note with the Crescendo collection

Cape Town’s coolest artist-led fashion label, Artclub and Friends, is turning up the volume this winter with Crescendo. Over the next few weeks, they’ll be releasing 30 limited-edition pieces, each one designed to hit a high note. And because they’re artists at heart, they’ve teamed up with local jazz band, Kujenga, to create unreleased tracks that soundtrack the collection. Shop online here.
Wool meets wonder: Karoo Winter Wool Festival
Wrap up warm and head to the heart of the Eastern Cape for the Karoo Winter Wool Festival, taking place in Middelburg from Fri, Jul 4 – Sat, Jul 5. At the centre of it all is Wool World, a showcase co-curated by VIVIERS and HŌVEN, where more than 50 designers and makers – from iconic milliner Crystal Birch to fashion favourites MmusoMaxwell and Maxhosa – bring South African wool to life in every form. Don’t miss the Beneath Karoo Skies exhibition, a sensory journey through the Karoo’s seasons via fashion, furniture, and design. For more information and tickets, visit here.
Where design dreams come alive: Decorex Joburg 2025

Décor dreams become design reality as Decorex Joburg 2025 takes over the Sandton Convention Centre from Thu, Jul 24 – Sun, Jul 27. Explore five floors of innovation, immersive experiences, and inspiration. Highlights include Decorex Joburg Designer of the Year, Charles O.
