Each winter the Stanisław Lem Experimental Garden hosts the ‘Garden of Lights’ - a paid family attraction comprising 6 hectares of elaborate illuminated installations in the open-air. This year’s theme is 'Small World' - a geographical journey featuring over 72,000 LED lights and over 80 glowing 3D lantern sculptures representing famous landmarks, symbols and characters from around the world. Amongst this litany of light and sound attractions are a long, luminous tunnel, a multimedia Christmas tree, and interactive multimedia stations. Via a special mobile app, visitors can also participate in an outdoor game that involves completing travel-related questions and tasks, with a chance to win prizes. Although, in our opinion, this is the kind of thing that looks better on social media than IRL, it’s sure to delight younger kids and a nice opportunity to be outside in the crisp air on an early winter evening. Food and drinks are available and the attraction is easily accessible by tram (get off at ‘M1 al. Pokoju’).
