Loża Klub Aktora

  Rynek Główny 41 ,   Old Town          (+48) 12 429 29 62     more than a year ago
Established as the city's first 'Actor's Club,' this was once the place to find local stage personalities, singers and sportsmen enjoying the high life (see the photos on the walls). These days the clientele consists mostly of elegantly dressed, overly made-up ageing beauties sipping cocktails in the modernised Art Deco interior of beige leather sofas and Frank Lloyd Wright ceiling lights, while tourists try the patience of the perfectly proportioned waitresses in 1920s flapper dresses on the seasonal market square patio. Though it may seem out of place, Loża still has plenty of fans and as far as cocktails go, you won't find better on the market square. The downstairs is perfect for a cognac and a cigarette, while a pricey selection of cafe classics, plus full menu of Italian fare, round out this blue-veined veteran.
