A short walk from the centre by the river in Trnovo, we’d describe this very sophisticated little restaurant as innovatively traditional. Perhaps that's an oxymoron, but what we're trying to say is it's mighty impressive how Jakob Franc are celebrating and elevating classic Slovene food. The restaurant is unashamedly a temple to pork, specifically a very special native Slovene breed of Kraškopoljski/Blackbelted piggy, which has absolutely delicious fat. Make sure to try the Lardo, and do check out their superb selection of mainly Slovene and Italian wines.
