Regardless of the coronavirus pandemic in Slovenia, Museums on a Summer Night insists on happening this year. If visitors won't be able to step inside, they'll think of something else. One of our favourite annual cultural events will this year take place on the night of 20 June, with museums and galleries across the country will not only offering free admission, but also extending opening hours with some institutions keeping their doors unlocked as late as midnight. In addition to the numerous venerable permanent collections and tons of noteworthy current exhibitions, there is also an organised programme of free workshops, demonstrations, film screenings, lectures, concerts and more to entice visitors to stay out late.
A cultural monster will be coming to take over cities in Slovenia on 20 June.
