Ljubljana's got a fine selection of dedicated shops selling beer and wine, most of which (if not all) are run by passionate folks who are both knowledgable about their respective industries and more than happy to answer any questions you might have. While Slovene bureaucracy technically makes consuming your purchases on the premises verboten, most places do offer free samples as well as regular organised tastings.
