Born in Warsaw during the 19th-century, Polish noblewoman Izabella Działyńska was able to amass one of the largest art collections in Europe. Living most of her life in Paris, travelling in Europe and the Middle East, she acquired antiquities, medieval works, paintings, graphics, and wooden sculptures. Her collection was as large as collections in European museums in France, Great Britain, and Italy at the time. She also spent part of her life working on restoring the castle in Gołuchów to its former glory while also creating a museum at the location with her collection. The exhibition will take place at the National Museum.
