Półwiejska Street

ul. Półwiejska ,   City Centre         09 Jun 2025
If you stick to Poznań’s main tourist areas, you’ll actually miss one of its busiest, most popular streets. Stretching 700m from Poznań’s emerging business district and Stary Browar in the south, to Plac Wiosny Ludów - where eight streets intersect at the edge of the Old Town, this long, bustling pedestrian boulevard is lined with fast food, crass bars and kitsch shops, and generally seems like it’s been socially engineered to attract teenagers and queer folks; in fact, Polish newspaper Gazeta Wyborcza claims it's the most LGBTQ+-friendly street in Poland. While they might be on to something, that's a very low bar to clear, so don't get your hopes up, or inversely - don't fear the rainbow. The fact is, this is simply Poznań's most gaudy, kitsch street. Have fun or walk fast.
