This hipster coffeeshop has been around since 2011, weathering pandemics and witnessing the entire transformation of Taczaka Street. The tiny, rather minimal shabby chic interior doesn't offer a lot of space for long visits, but lures in a steady crowd of students in need of a caffeine fix, and they have additional tables on the sidewalk when the weather's warm. In addition to very good, affordable espresso drinks, they also do batch brews, aeropress, chemex and drip brewing, match lattes, wine and craft beer. They also bake their own croissants - plain and stuffed-to-bursting (seriously, watch out with that first bite) with different flavoured creams, and offer a short, scrumptious menu of breakfast toasts and sandwiches for rumbly tummies. In summer there's a soft-serve ice cream machine and a special drink menu incorporating the frozen treat, but the pièce de résistance is their should-be-patented invention of the 'soft-serve-croissant.' We know you'll want this ice cream in a croissant cone on your social media feed; just be prepared to earn some eyerolls from the too-cool artsy crowd. Overall, Taczaka 20 is a low-key, laid-back winner and worth seeking out.
