A state visit by Pope Francis including a service at Riga Cathedral and a speech at the Freedom Monument. Expect high security and lots of delays. All day long you'll be able to watch the Pope on huge screens at the Freedom Monument and Cathedral Square (Doma laukums). The day will be a national holiday.

11:30 - The Popemobile will drive from Riga Cathedral to St. James' Cathedral
16:30 - Holy mass at the Aglona Basilica in Latgale (eastern Latvia)
