Standard Bank WineX is back from Wed, Oct 29 – Fri, Oct 31, 2025 at the Sandton Convention Centre, turning Joburg into the wine capital of Africa for three nights only.

This wine extravaganza will welcome around 9,000 wine enthusiasts under one roof, to swirl, sip, spit or swallow, and discover more than 700 wines from  120 exhibitors – from award-winning estates to boutique labels you’ll want to brag about discovering first.

Having been apart of Joburg's wine landscape for close to a quarter of a century, WineX has evolved into more than just a tasting event. It’s a multi-sensory celebration of wine, art, music, and entertainment. Whether you’re a newbie, curious about your first Cabernet, or a collector hunting rare vintages, WineX is a place to ask questions, chat to winemakers, and taste your way through the Cape Winelands without leaving Sandton.

Expect limited releases, exclusive tastings, and an atmosphere buzzing with discovery. Just pace yourself – no one can get through it all (though it’s fun trying). Note: this is one event where spitting is recommended, with spittoons provided. Taste wine in small sips and let it go as you hunt down the taste you'll want to savour.  

Early bird tickets for WineX 2025 are on sale now until Sun, Oct 19: Thu, Oct 30  for R260 per person and Fri, Oct 31 for R295 per person. From Mon, Oct 20 and at the door, tickets are Thu, Oct 30 for R290 per person and Fri, Oct 31 for R375 per person. You can book your tickets here.
