Tallinn

Ferries

share
The vast majority of visitors travelling onward from Tallinn go by ship, and it’s no wonder - the city has excellent, affordable ferry connections to Helsinki, Stockholm and Saint Petersburg. On the Tallinn-Helsinki route, you have the large car ferries, which make the crossing in about two hours. Ferries are operated by Tallink, who have large and fast car ferries and also operates the Tallinn-Stockholm line; Viking Line and Eckerö Line. St.Peterline runs a weekly Tallinn-St.Petersburg-Helsinki route. Ferries leave from various terminals of the city’s two passenger harbours, clustered just outside Old Town.
