The Banned Books Museum preserves and exhibits banned, burned, and censored books from around the world. In the museum you can see, touch, and read banned books from around the world and learn their stories of censorship. There are books from Estonia, the UK, USA, Russia, China, and many other countries. You can also learn about the history of censorship as a phenomenon, from ancient philosophy to modern debates. The museum makes no apologies for preserving and exhibiting all kinds of banned books, even very offensive ones, so visitors should come with an open mind and willingness to learn about different perspectives! There is also a selection of books for sale detailing the history of censorship, free speech, and authors' rights.

Private tours for groups of four or more individuals are available by request.

Entry to the museum is free, but donations are welcome.
