The exhibition Joy in the Heart of the City, at the Tallinn Town Hall brings together life-affirming and brightly coloured Estonian paintings from 1910–1945 from Enn Kunila’s collection, which is one of the largest in Northern Europe. Works by Konrad Mägi, Estonia’s most important artist of the 20th century, are at the core of this exhibition, depicting Estonian and Italian landscapes with extraordinary richness of colour, something which is considered unique in European art.
