Tartu’s bus station might be small but it is very centrally located. It’s best to buy your tickets from the booths or machines inside the station, but you can usually also purchase tickets directly from the driver if space is available. Two or three buses depart for Tallinn each hour. There is also an early morning bus that departs at 02:30 every day and costs €15. The trip to Tallinn usually takes two and a half hours and regular tickets generally cost about €10. Long-distance buses to farther away places like Riga and Kiev are available through Lux Express and can be purchased from the ticket agents inside the terminal, open 09:00 - 17:45, information telephone number +372 680 09 09. WiFi is available on most express buses.
