Estonian Road Museum

  Varbuse, Kanepi parish      +372 799 30 57     06 Feb 2024
The history of Estonian roads, and the many vehicles that have travelled them, is the focus of this fascinating museum in Põlva County. Its one-of-a-kind, outdoor exhibition, 'Road Time', will let you stroll through the centuries, catching a glimpse of vehicles of both the past and future. In the main building you can see 'Have a Good Trip!', a permanent exhibition about the history of roads and communications, and the philosophical questions they present. In the machinery hall you can visit an exhibition called 'Ruling of machinery'. The main principle of the exhibition indicates controversial relationship between cars and drivers. Loads of special events are planned for summer, including those for kids. See the website for details.
