Tartu Art Museum

  Raekoja plats 18      +372 58 81 78 11     24 Apr 2026
Founded in 1940, the Tartu Art Museum (Tartmus) is the largest art museum in Southern Estonia and one of Tartu’s most distinctive cultural destinations. It’s housed in the city’s iconic Leaning House, which tilts by 5.8 degrees, even more than the Tower of Pisa. The museum offers exhibitions for discovering 20th- and 21st-century art. With new exhibitions opening about twice a year, its changing exhibition programme gives visitors a reason to return. Alongside its exhibitions, the museum also offers guided and virtual tours as well as inspiring art workshops.
Visitors can also stop by the museum shop, which features a wide selection of art-inspired products and art books, making it a good place to find gifts and souvenirs. Browse the selection in the Tartmus online shop.
