The International Organ Music Festival which takes place in the Warsaw Cathedral is regarded as one of the most significant European festivals. The beauty and strength of the sound of the modern organ and the climate and sacral nature of the St. John's Cathedral make it a superb place for organ music. The organ - a large, sixty-voice instrument built by one of the leading German companies boasts a highly suitable design, excellent workmanship, high artistic standards and universality which allows for performing the music of all ages. The Festival boasts very high artistic standards, attracting virtuoso organists from all over the world every year. This year's performers include Svitlana Pozdnysheva (Ukraine), Maria Erdman (Poland), Giovanna Tricarico (Italy), Jean - Christophe Geiser (Switzerland) , Fabio Ciofini (Italy), Józef Kotowicz (Poland), 
Piotr Rachoń (Poland), Przemysław Kapituła (Poland), Giulia Biagetti (Italy), Jesus Sampedro Marquez (Spain), and Toni Pussinen (Finland).
